This is Hunter and a family members friends child, Ashton. It's another layout from the family reunion, this was a Pirate Ship Fun House that the kids loved! They get on the ship, play in balls, climb a rope cross a swinging bridge and slide down a slide, all on the 'ship'! We stayed on this one thing for a long time....the boys loved it!! Every year we go to City Park in New Orleans for our annual Family Reunion, so in the next coming layouts you more than likely will see photos from this! We had so much fun with the whole family! There is a kiddie ride park right next to where we picnic at and my sister and I take our grandkids to ride the rides! And right next to that is 'Storyland' which they have all kinds of kid storied themed stuff to climb on and play in! A Dragon slide, the Three Little Pigs and their houses, the Old Lady who Lived in the Shoe's house, Snow White, Peter Pan and Captain Hook on his pirate ship, and many more, the kids love that!! And the train ride around the park...everyone loves that! We picnic right next to where the train takes off at and has to stop to close the gates..we always have some family members standing there, waiting for us to 'depart' and waving us on, it's so funny! Anyway, here is the first of the layouts using the awesome PTU Scrapkit by Gina of Kekika Kits called "Enjoy", fun loving kit that had lots of cheer to it and fit perfectly for the layout here!! I lost a dear friend of mine, since elementary school, several years ago. I was getting married to my first husband and was in the process of getting her new address when I found out she was brutly murdered by an ex boyfriend. I was so devestated when I heard of her passing and the circumstances behind it, I almost called off the wedding, saying it was a 'sign' not to get married, boy I should have!! lol.

 She loved Boy George and Princess Diane when we were growing up, I believe she'd be heartbroken to know how both their lives had turned out. I went to my 1st Mardi Gras parade in Metairie, not New Orleans as I usually went and without my parents, with her and her family when I was 16yrs old. I had a grand time and vowed never to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras again, and I haven't!!

She used to always pinch the tip of my nose and say 'beep,beep'. We'd lost touch several times in our adult lives, one day at my work one of my fellow workers came up to me, out of the blue, pinched my nose and said 'beep,beep'. I looked up at her in shock, she said 'The lady at table 2 told me to do that'. I dropped everything, without even looking to see who it was, knowing it was her, and ran to her table in tears. We seen each other a few times after that, she lived not to far from where I worked. Then she moved again without me knowing and I didn't realize that those times would be the last times I'd ever see her.

A group of us have been getting together again since last summer, one person is always missing, though, Irene!

I love you and miss you so much, my friend!
